The Keynote Theatre is supported by IOSH and is the main educational stage. During sessions over three days, key industry speakers will provide the latest news and updates on OSH regulations, guidance, best practice and training.
The Practical Safety Theatre, supported by safety supplier Cromwell, will see experts exploring how to create a safe and compliant working environment. Speakers will explore topics such as asbestos management, safety technology, respiratory protective equipment, noise, vibration and working at height.
The Knowledge Exchange Theatre, sponsored by Arco and supported by HSM (Health & Safety Matters magazine), will feature a series of sessions covering the key challenges faced by health and safety practitioners. It will include presentations from industry experts who are making a difference to workplace safety culture.
The Driver Safety Theatre, run in partnership with Driving for Better Business, forms part of the Driver Safety Zone, where organisations and experts will share vital information with safety professionals responsible for managing work-related road risk.
Finally, Lone Worker Safety Live will feature bite-size interactive sessions where experts will share their knowledge of the best ways of ensuring the safety, wellbeing and security of lone and remote workers. This includes employees at risk of violence and aggression and those working alone in the field.
BSIF’s Registered Safety Supplier Trail
Non-compliant and potentially unsafe personal protective equipment (PPE) is a growing issue within the safety industry. Many products on the market claim to be CE-approved but, in reality, are not certified to the appropriate European standards and are putting lives at risk.
The British Safety Industry Federation (BSIF) has therefore established the Registered Safety Supplier (RSS) Scheme. BSIF members joining the RSS scheme must sign a binding declaration that the safety equipment they offer meets the appropriate standards, fully complies with the PPE regulations and is appropriately marked in line with the required official standards.
By following the Registered Safety Supplier Trail at the exhibition, visitors can be assured that the PPE they are buying is from a BSIF-registered Registered Safety Supplier, who will provide sound advice on its correct selection and use, and supply genuine, suitably-approved products.
Health and Safety Executive (HSE)
Great Britain’s regulator for workplace health and safety, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), will be exhibiting at The Health and Safety Event. HSE staff will be available on HSE’s stand and at various educational sessions to take enquiries, highlight new HSE guidance and demonstrate HSE training, tools, and services that can help organisations with their health and safety challenges.
HSE experts will also share their latest thinking on OSH at The Keynote Theatre, Practical Safety Theatre, Knowledge Exchange and HSE’s own mini-theatre on its stand. HSE will present and run interactive workshops on key topics such as work-related stress, musculoskeletal disorders, noise and vibration and asbestos. The sessions aim to help visitors understand their legal obligations and gain new insights into research findings and guidance on the best ways of improving OSH at work.
Networking opportunities
The annual Health & Safety Event reunites thousands of visitors every year from within the OSH industry from the industrial, commercial and public sectors.
There will be dedicated zones, events, break-out areas and on-site meetings to make it easier for delegates to connect and network with providers of safety solutions, industry experts and fellow visitors from the world of health and safety.
CONNECT+ Live is a free-of-charge service that matches a visitor’s buying requirements with the most appropriate and suitable exhibitors. The CONNECT+ Live team will match buyers to sellers at a pre-scheduled time, saving buyers valuable time and effort in identifying and locating suitable product and service providers.
The Networking Café sponsored by RS is positioned at the centre of the show, allowing visitors to catch up with contacts over a bite to eat or snack.
There will also be complimentary Networking Drinks at the end of days one and two. Taking place at the Networking Café, these get-togethers are a great way of meeting industry peers and professionals and making new connections in an informal setting.
The NEBOSH and IOSH Cafés also offer an ideal setting for OSH practitioners to connect and build valuable professional relationships, exchange ideas and foster collaboration.
The VIP Lounge sponsored by HSI Donesafe is an invite-only VIP Lounge that allows delegates to experience an elevated experience at the show during exhibition hours. The lounge is an ideal area for OSH practitioners to build their business and industry contacts.
Supporting women in health and safety
To achieve successful management of OSH risks, it is vital the OSH practitioner workforce embraces diverse perspectives and expertise. Creating a genuinely diverse and inclusive OSH practitioner workforce, including adequate representation of female OSH professionals, will help drive innovation in OSH risk management and ensure OSH management practices are inclusive and take full account of the diverse needs of all people at work.
The Health & Safety Event therefore supports efforts to increase the representation of women in the OSH profession, and is hosting events and talks designed to celebrate, support and grow the contribution and role of female safety practitioners.
The Health & Safety Event will be welcoming the Women in Health & Safety Group to this year’s event. This influential network of people is dedicated to empowering women to flourish in the industry, fostering mentorship for female practitioners and breaking barriers in the profession.
Heather Beach, a recognised leader and advocate for inclusion in health and safety, will lead a dedicated panel discussion in the Practical Safety Theatre on Tuesday 8 April. This session will explore the unique challenges and opportunities women face in the industry and highlight actionable strategies for creating a more inclusive workplace.
To encourage meaningful connections and collaborations, the event will feature a dedicated networking session for attendees, celebrating diversity and the shared goal of building a stronger, more inclusive OSH practitioner community.

HSE inspections target hearing protection and noise control failures
By Peter Wilson, INVC on 07 March 2025
The Health and Safety Executive is currently conducting an inspection programme looking at the adequacy of employers’ noise control measures, while changes to how compensation claims for noise-induced hearing loss are assessed are predicted to result in higher payouts for affected workers. As a result, it is crucial employers review their noise risk reduction approach to ensure it reflects current best practice.

The sustainable approach to noise control carbon footprints
By Peter Wilson, INVC on 05 March 2025
Conventional noise control techniques for plant and machinery incorporate considerable embodied carbon due to the volume and types of materials used – and often result in higher energy demand due to problems like an increased need for cooling fans. However, adopting modern analysis and engineering processes means the costs and carbon footprints of typical noise control projects can be cut by up to 90 per cent.
