Peter McGettrick is a Partner and Managing Director at Turner & Townsend Advisory and is responsible for over 700 professionals working across contract services, sustainability, technology, operational excellence, health, safety and quality, servicing Clients across the Real Estate, Infrastructure and Natural Resources sectors.
Peter has been with Turner & Townsend since 2016, and previously spent 15 years at Capita where he was latterly Divisional Managing Director. Peter is originally from Glasgow where he obtained his Bachelors, Masters and MBA degrees and is also a Chartered Safety Practitioner by background. Peter began his career in environmental and safety audit and compliance consultancy in the private sector before moving onto various major transformation and business improvement programmes with organisations such as DWP, BBC and Southampton City Council.
Peter is the Board Sponsor for net zero and has overseen the Turner & Townsend strategy to become net zero by 2030, to set targets in our direct operations in line with limiting global temperature rise to 1.5°C and to become one of the first 500 companies across the globe to commit to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change’s Race to Net Zero campaign. Peter also began his tenure as Chair of the British Safety Council in October 2021, where he holds responsibility for the governance of one of the world’s leading health and safety organisations.
