Nick studied for a biology degree then went to Royal Military Academy Sandhurst where he gained a commission into the British Army. He later did a Masters Degree in Environmental Health. This led to a role as an Environmental Health Officer before moving into industry as an HSE manager and then to consultancy, working all round the world with many different industries, particularly in India and the Middle East.
For the past 20 years he has focussed his work on culture change and behaviour to drive an improvement in environment, safety, health and quality.
He lives in the Lake District in the North of England – a World Heritage area, where he spends as much time as possible rock climbing and writing climbing guidebooks.
